Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets are heading to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2020.
The Nuggets eliminated the Suns in the second round after a 125-100 Game 6 win. Jokic and co. are still waiting for their opponents in the next round. The Joker was asked what are his plans while he awaits his next opponent, and he had a hilarious answer to the question.
“Probably watch my friend race horses in Italy,” Jokic said. “Be around my family. Hopefully, there’s going to be a sunny so I can be outside [in] the swimming pool. So, relaxing.”

The Western Conference Finals are due to start on May 16, 2023. Until then, Jokic and the Nuggets can relax. The two-time MVP certainly plans to do so by heading to Italy during his time off.
Speaking of Jokic’s performance in Game 6, he recorded 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists in the 25-point win over the Suns.
Which Team Will The Denver Nuggets Face In The Western Conference Finals?
The Denver Nuggets could end up facing either the Los Angeles Lakers or the Golden State Warriors in the 2023 Western Conference Finals.
The series is currently 3-2 in favor of LeBron James and the Lakers. If they can wrap things up in Game 6, fans will see a Conference Finals rematch from 2020. Last time around, the Lakers had no problems dealing with the Nuggets, as the series finished 4-1.
Nikola Jokic will get a chance at taking revenge vs. the Lakers unless the defending champions of the league complete a miraculous comeback in the series.
Regardless of which team qualifies, it will be a nail-biting matchup. Jokic is having a historic season and the Nuggets enter the Western Conference Finals as the heavy favorites to represent the West in the 2023 NBA Finals.
