Superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the world, and he is highly regarded due to his two-way prowess. Despite his talent and ability, however, the Milwaukee Bucks were eliminated in 5 games by the Miami Heat in the first round this year.
After the Heat upset the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo was on the receiving end of some criticism, especially after he made comments saying that there’s no failure in sports. It seems as though Antetokounmpo is tired of all the noise, and he posted a message on Twitter saying that he’s tired of all the disrespect that came his way.

Hopefully, we see Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks bounce back next season. They still have a fair amount of talent on their squad as of right now, though some changes have to be made to improve the overall quality of the roster.
In the playoffs, Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 23.3 PPG, 11.0 RPG, and 5.3 APG for the Milwaukee Bucks. He did, however, sustain a back injury, against the Miami Heat, and it’s easy to see why his production dropped in the postseason.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Won’t Re-Sign With The Bucks This Offseason
It is clear that this was an unsuccessful season for the Milwaukee Bucks in terms of championship contention, and it is clear that Giannis Antetokounmpo likely isn’t happy about that. In fact, previous reports have suggested that the star won’t re-sign with the Bucks this offseason.
“They were facing a very difficult situation this summer, even if they’ve won the title. Because they have guys in their 30s who need to get paid, and they have Giannis, who’s in his 20s with a contract extension situation. I think it is unlikely that Giannis extends his contract this summer. He has two years left, with everything that’s going on with the team, and considering that there’s new ownership, that makes it very difficult. The Bucks are headed into the repeater tax. This is what happens to teams that are contenders year after year and they spent, so everything on this team is about to get more expensive. Plus, we have new rules coming in that is gonna limit the way they can improve this roster going forward. They are a late-stage contender with a superstar in his 20s, and there are teams in this league watching very closely to see what happens with the Bucks this summer, notwithstanding a decision potentially on Mike Budenholzer.”
It will be interesting to see what the Milwaukee Bucks do to improve the roster around Giannis Antetokounmpo. They don’t really have a lot of tradeable draft picks, and perhaps we could see them move a member of their core to try and build a championship team for the future.
