The Denver Nuggets have had a lot of doubters this season despite finishing with the best record in the Western Conference, but Charles Barkley isn’t one of them.

The Hall of Famer has firmly been on the Nuggets bandwagon all season, and when asked what he has seen from the Phoenix Suns in this series, Barkley said they are losing to the better team that he thinks will win it all.

“They getting beat by a better team,” Barkley said. “I think the Nuggets are gonna win this series. I think the Nuggets gonna win the NBA Championship, to be honest with you. They have everything they need. Jamal Murray is finally back to being healthy. The Joker (Nikola Jokic), we don’t give this kid enough credit. Their general manager, their bench is so good right now, I mean their bench is spectacular. Denver is my favorite in the West and I think they gonna be the favorite to win the world championship.”

The Nuggets handled the Suns in the first two games of this series, with Jamal Murray leading the way in Game 1 and then Nikola Jokic put on a show in Game 2. Jokic finished with 39 points and 16 rebounds in that game, which led to Stephen A. Smith slamming Deandre Ayton for getting embarrassed by the Serbian.

Can The Nuggets Win It All?

Jokic has embarrassed a lot of big men this season and looks determined to get his hands on that title. He had another MVP-caliber campaign in 2022-23 and finally has a healthy team around him for once after Murray missed the last two postseasons due to injury.

The duo has given the Suns fits in these playoffs, and they have received plenty of help from their supporting cast as well. The Nuggets do look like a very well-balanced unit, but do they have what it takes to win it all? That still remains doubtful. If they do get past the Suns, it’ll either be the Los Angeles Lakers or the Golden State Warriors in the next round, and both those teams have eliminated the Nuggets from the playoffs in recent times. Then again, the Suns knocked out the Nuggets in the Conference Semifinals in 2021, so they would back themselves to beat whoever is put in front of them.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
