In what comes as the start of another debate, Shaquille O’Neal refused to add Stephen Curry to the “most dominant” list.

The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar once held that title himself for his ability to dominate on both ends of the floor. Speaking on The Big Podcast with Shaq’, “No, never… Most dominant point guards, yes. But not dominant players. When you’re dominant, it’s not a one-season thing. He’s been dominating his whole career? No, he hasn’t.”

Shaq was quick to acknowledge that the Golden State Warriors star was one of the most dominant PGs. However, he made his reasons clear when it came to dominance over the years.

Surely, this will be the beginning of another cracking debate, but it should be noted that the focus will be on “dominance” — something the big man defined precisely on his podcast. Size aside, there is no denying Curry is one of the greatest ever offensive players to have played the game.

Gilbert Arenas Makes Bold Claim, Says Stephen Curry Is The GOAT Of NBA Players 6’3″ And Under

Since size is the theme of the feature, in related news, Gilbert Arenas had one take when he said Curry was the GOAT of players under 6’3″.

“His highlight reels are amazing for what it is. When you’re talking about dribbling skills and the stuff he does to people, it’s amazing,” Arenas said on VladTV. “But you got to remember, when it comes to levels of just men themselves, he’s like the king of 6-3 and under. Like you know that’s how we should do it, right?

“6-3, 6-4 and under, Curry is the king, he’s the GOAT. He is the goat of that 6, 6-4. Curry is the GOAT. It seems like that’s how you do it. Just like (Floyd) Mayweather. Because when you talk about the greatest boxers of all time, mentally you go for the people who knocked out the most people.”

To back Arenas’ thoughts, Curry has been a force this season, averaging 31.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists in the nine games he’s played so far in the playoffs. It’s a fair claim, to be honest, and only time will tell if Curry indeed cements himself as the GOAT of players under the height range.
