The series between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers is at 3-2 in the Lakers’ favor. The Grizzlies did manage to win Game 5, and will be going into Los Angeles to try and force a Game 7 against the Lakers.

Grizzlies shooting guard Desmond Bane has recently claimed that the team will force a Game 7, and come back to face the Lakers in Memphis. This is definitely a bold proclamation, especially since the Grizzlies have looked outclassed for the majority of the series.

“We’re going to be back for a Game 7 in front of the best fans in the NBA.”

There is no doubt that the Memphis Grizzlies have a solid defensive team, and they could end up upsetting the Lakers in Game 7. The key, of course, will be for them to survive Game 6, as they will be going into the maw of the beast in Los Angeles.

Desmond Bane has been a crucial player for the Memphis Grizzlies in the series, averaging 25.2 PPG, 6.2 RPG, and 3.4 APG. Hopefully, we see him perform well in Game 6, and we’ll see what will happen in the future.

Desmond Bane Has To Wear LeBron James’ Shoes Due To His Toe Injury

Earlier in the season, Desmond Bane had a Grade 2 big toe sprain. As a result, he has had to find the right shoes to wear to be able to keep playing, and he settled on the LeBron XX. He previously claimed that he’s not “happy” to wear them against LeBron James himself, but added that he has to put his “pride to the side” and do what is best for him.

“Nah. I mean, nah, I [wasn’t happy wearing the shoes against LeBron],” said Bane. “But you know, I got to leave my pride to the side and do what’s best for my body and my career.”

Ultimately, the goal for Desmond Bane is to be available and perform for his team. He is clearly able to do so by wearing LeBron James’ shoes, and at the end of the day, the pair of shoes doesn’t matter as long as Bane is playing at a high level.

This Game 6 between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers is definitely highly anticipated. We will see what happens, and Bane must perform for his team to have a chance of winning.
