Kawhi Leonard went from giving the Los Angeles Clippers a little bit of hope against the Phoenix Suns to pretty much ending the team’s season.
After being ruled out for Game 4, the Clippers have reportedly received the worst possible news: there’s no timetable for Kawhi’s return.
“The Clippers are still moving day-to-day [with this injury]. What we know is that this injury is not connected to the ACL tear that he suffered two years ago. But it is the same knee. That is worrisome, and there’s no timetable as of right now. They don’t know when Kawhi is going to return. There’s hope that he could at some point, but it’s not there yet,” Chris Haynes reported.

This is obviously big for the Clippers, who need their superstar to compete against the Phoenix Suns or any other team in the league. This situation has raised many eyebrows around the league, with Stephen A. Smith taking big shots at Leonard for being unreliable.
He went on to say that Leonard should retire from the game given his injury history. This is a painful situation for the Clippers, but they have a big task in hand this afternoon, trying to tie their first-round series against the Suns.
Los Angeles Clippers Will Face Phoenix Suns Without Kawhi Leonard And Paul George
This will be a hard job to carry out, as not only they’re missing Kawhi but also Paul George. These two are yet to have a fully healthy playoffs run outside of the bubble, but it doesn’t seem like they will be able to do so.
Kendrick Perkins already called for the Clippers to give an ultimatum to Leonard and George and run it back one more season. If they can win it all, then they’ll need to make some changes, especially with Kawhi and PG13. This is an interesting situation, but the Clips aren’t enjoying any of it.
