Anthony Davis struggled on the offensive end of the floor during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Memphis Grizzlies’ Game 2 matchup.
So much so that Davis ended the night with 13 points to his name and shot an abysmal 4-14 from the field. Davis’ poor shooting performance was the primary reason behind the Lakers’ 93-103 defeat in Game 2. During the postgame conference, AD talked about his disappointing performance and vowed to do better in the next game.
“I liked the shots that I took,” Davis said. “I just missed them. A lot of shots close to the rim that normally go in. Flush it and get ready for [Game 3].”

Anthony Davis wasn’t his usual self as far as scoring was concerned in Game 2. For the game, he recorded 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 blocks. Unfortunately, due to his poor shooting performance, his defensive performance was overshadowed. Hopefully, Davis can help the Lakers take back the lead in Game 3 by returning to form.
Anthony Davis Vows To Be Ready For Game 3
The Los Angeles Lakers need Anthony Davis to be at his sparkling best to get a shot at having a deep and meaningful run in the playoffs. After all, Davis primarily carried the Lakers to a play-in tournament spot during the regular season.
Following his underwhelming shooting performance in Game 2, Davis vowed to be ready for the Game 3 matchup at the Crypto.com Arena.
“Looking forward to it, wish we could play tomorrow… I’ll be ready for Game 3 for sure.”
Davis is ready for the upcoming game. The Laker Nation will hope to see the dominant version of the 30-year-old in the Saturday night matchup. Otherwise, the Lakers will run the risk of going down 1-2 in the series. Can AD fulfill his promise? We will find out in a couple of days.
