Joel Embiid starred in a big moment today after he faked a big hit when he was touched in the face. The Philadelphia 76ers big man put up a big show, flopping and acting like was seriously hurt.

While many fans blasted Embiid over this situation, one of his colleagues also had a good laugh while watching him. Damian Lillard trolled him on Twitter.

In the end, Embiid had the last laugh, taking Game 1 of the series against the Brooklyn Nets. Things went smoothly for the Sixers, securing a big win over the Brooklynites behind Embiid and Harden. The center finished with 26 points, while Harden added 23 points. It was a great display from the Sixers, who looked very good against the Nets.

This team can make some noise this postseason, just like Embiid, if he finally gets his hands on the MVP trophy.

Damian Lillard Backed Joel Embiid For The MVP Award

Just like he trolled Embiid, Dame also showed his support for the big man. At the highest point of the MVP race, Lillard revealed his pick for this award, going with the Cameroonian-born player over Joel Embiid.

“I picked Joel Embiid because I feel like he’s been dominant all season long,” Lillard said. “His team is winning. I feel like he could have won it one of the last two years but Jokic won it both times. And I just think because he’s been, to me, the most dominant player, he’s been carrying his team. I think you can’t continue to give it to a guy who’s won it twice in a row, especially when you have a guy like this that’s performing at the same level for maybe even higher and he also didn’t get it one of the last two times when he was at that level. That’s not how it should work.”

Some have placed Lillard in Philly, alongside Embiid, which would be crazy. This offseason can be very entertaining for the Sixers and Lillard, as anything can happen when players get tired of losing.
