Hip-hop culture and basketball are linked to one another quite intrinsically. Rappers are often naming NBA stars in their tracks and hanging out with them, while quite a few players make their music as well. And recently, the Minnesota Timberwolves got caught up in a hilarious beef between 50 Cent and Ja Rule, with the former saying that the latter’s half-time performance cursed the team. Ja Rule has now responded.

“Rent Free! Only thing Curtis lifting is his skirt… 50 been on my d*ck he love my style lmao!!! And now the curse has been extended…” Ja Rule wrote in a comment on the Instagram post of 50 Cent talking about the curse.

Ja Rule Went Off At 50 Cent After He Said Ja's Halftime Performance Cursed The Minnesota Timberwolves: "50 Been On My D*ck"

This came off the back of 50 Cent talking about lifting the curse that Ja Rule’s half-time performance had seemingly cast on the franchise. His comments were objectively quite hilarious

“We had a curse! Somebody f***** up, and they let Ja Rule perform at halftime,” 50 said. “Now, what we’re gonna do is take the curse off!”

50 Cent and Ja Rule famously have one of the longest-running feuds in hip-hop history. It all began in 1999 when Ja was robbed at gunpoint by an associate of 50. Since then, there have been stabbings, diss tracks, bar fights, and a litany of insults exchanged. It’s safe to say that the two men simply do not like one another.

The Minnesota Timberwolves Will Likely Need To Win Two Games To Get Into The Playoffs

The Minnesota Timberwolves have bigger things to worry about than this beef. The team is likely going to finish the season as the 9th seed and will need to deal with a tricky Oklahoma City Thunder and then beat the loser of the other play-in game. They have the pieces to do it, but the teams around them have some serious star power as well.

Minnesota will need Anthony Edwards to explode, and if they can get the 8th seed, then they can think about causing some problems for the Denver Nuggets. Going up against the best in the West if they make it seems like a tough break, but things haven’t exactly gone to plan for the Timberwolves. Let’s see how things play out for them.
