With his play on the court in decline in recent years, Russell Westbrook has had to hear some disrespectful comments from fans.
He has had his fair share of arguments with them in response and during their game against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, he had two fans kicked out of the arena.
Idk what they said but if Russ said you gotta go… YOU GOTTA GO 🗣️

The video recently went viral and not many were aware that this had taken place last week. This incident also drew comparisons to when LeBron James had two fans ejected in a similar way when the Lakers played the Pacers in 2021. Westbrook taunted them by signaling that they had to leave and it is unclear what exactly the fans said. The two individuals were escorted out of the arena and this isn’t actually the first time that Westbrook has had issues with Kings fans.
He had fans ejected when the Lakers played the Kings in January as well and it seems to be a recurring issue in Sacramento for him. Back then, the fan reportedly called him “Westbrick” which angered the former MVP. Unfortunately for Russ, just like that game in January, he ended up being on the losing side here as well. He did play well in the game though, finishing with 27 points and 10 assists.
Russell Westbrook Has Come Under Fire Recently
Westbrook’s departure from the Lakers was supposed to make life a lot easier for him, but the move to the Clippers hasn’t made things a whole lot better. That loss to the Kings meant Westbrook’s Clippers career got off to an 0-4 start, but they did finally manage to get a win in their next game against the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies.
Westbrook has averaged 15.3 PPG to go with 8.3 APG as a Clipper and is trying his best to fit in, stating that he is willing to do whatever is asked of him. The blame for the defeats still fell on his shoulders, but teammate Kawhi Leonard came to his defense, as he said Westbrook had nothing to do with them losing those games. He is an easy scapegoat though and if the Clippers do end up disappointing in the playoffs, many would point to Westbrook as the reason for their downfall.
