Stephen Curry was ejected in the fourth quarter of the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The guard was ejected with 1:14 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter at the Chase Center. He finished his evening with 34 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists.

This ejection has been the third in his career. He was also ejected in a playoff game for throwing his mouthpiece.

The Warriors vs. Grizzlies clash was billed as one of the high-octane contests on Wednesday, given their intense rivalry. However, A Klay Thompson clutch bucket helped them edge out a 122-120 win.

Thompson ended with 24 points, 3 boards, and as many assists, while Ja Morant and Desmond Bane had 29 and 20 points each. However, they still sit pretty in second place in the Western Conference standings.

NBA Fans React To Stephen Curry’s Ejection

The ejection didn’t sit well with Golden State Warriors and Stephen Curry’s fans. While some blamed him for being reckless and throwing his mouthpiece, some argued the move was valid enough to earn a technical, but not something to be tossed for.

Jordan Poole was pulled up as the culprit behind Curry’s frustration, however, much of the flak was on the referees for their decision.

With the guard calling for the ball, Poole threw up a quick three instead and missed it in the process. Curry angrily tossed his mouthpiece into the stand and was ejected immediately.

What?! The golden boy refs on some bs https://t.co/zoZ9dtK1xN

This is the video where Stephen Curry was ejected. Throwing the mouth guard because your mad at your teammate gets you kicked out of the game? Itโ€™s nationally televised by the way. Sorry refs need to be trained better. https://t.co/bwjRbtP71P

The Warriors will be pleased with the win but will also be aware that it was a close shave against one of the sides that’s played better basketball.

The win puts the Warriors at 23-24. They are placed tenth at the time of writing in a packed West and will look to make the surge as they foray deeper into the second half of the season.
