Kyle Kuzma has always been a rather eccentric character. Dating back to his college days in Utah, the sharpshooter has never been in short supply of confidence, and that goes beyond his activities on the basketball court.
We saw that confidence on full display on Tuesday night as Kuz walked into the arena wearing another one of his notoriously flashy pre-game fits.
This time, however, fans were less receptive than usual about the wardrobe choice, and Kuzma became the target of trolls who bashed him for the bizarre fashion choice.
Check it out and judge it for yourself:

Between the no-shirt, open sweater look, and the weird rainbow-style balaclava, fans did not hold back on the jokes and memes.

This is hardly the first time that Kuz has stored some controversy for his fashion choices. Over the years, he’s had some really head-scratching wardrobe moments, including the infamous pink sweater that drew a reaction from LeBron James himself.
Obviously, Kuz has no concerns about what others have to say about his clothes, but it seems his NBA future is much more complicated.
Will Kyle Kuzma Stay With The Washington Wizards?
After trading Rui Hachimura on Monday, the Wizards sent a message to Kuzma that they are committed to him long-term. Unfortunately, the young stud has a player option for next year and has the choice to sign elsewhere this summer.
It’s considered unlikely that Kuzma will return to D.C., but he hasn’t ruled out that possibility quite yet.
“For sure. One hundred percent. They showed me love,” said Kuzma on if he’d consider re-signing with the Wizards. “They have allowed me to have a platform to show my game and show the league I’m not just a role player. I’m someone that’s arriving right now. That’s the biggest thing for me. I want to keep elevating. Having a leadership position, having somewhere where I’m developing and playing my game and my role and I’m getting better every single game — that’s what I care about.”
Needless to say, there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding Kuzma’s path forward in this league, but he’s done a good job proving his worth and showing his value.
Unfortunately, he has yet to sell the public on his fashion sense which may be the weirdest the NBA has seen in a long time. The guy is truly one of a kind.
