Dejounte Murray made a name for himself with the San Antonio Spurs as he blossomed into an All-Star caliber player with the franchise. While he enjoyed so much growth on a personal level, it is fair to say he doesn’t look back too fondly on his time there.

Murray was on the All The Smoke podcast recently, where he accused the Spurs of playing mind games with him, and he also took a shot at Tony Parker. It is definitely a must-watch episode and toward the end of it, Dejounte was asked to name his top 5 NBA players of all time.

(starts at 1:30:32 mark):

“Bron (LeBron James), MJ (Michael Jordan, Kobe (Bryant), Shaq (Shaquille O’Neal), I’m throwing Tim (Duncan) in there, bro.”

That is quite an impressive 5 right there, but he didn’t give it in any particular order. Murray was later asked to rank LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant, to which he had this to say.

“Bron, MJ, Kobe”

It really wouldn’t be a surprise to see more players from his generation and, moving forward start to pick LeBron. They have seen James dominate in such incredible fashion while breaking almost every record out there, so they can’t help but have him at the top.

Robert Horry Says Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Won’t Want To Watch LeBron James Break His Record

While LeBron has broken countless records over the years, he is on the brink of his greatest accomplishment yet, as he inches closer to becoming the all-time leading scorer in NBA history. LeBron is less than 300 points behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and the league has plans for a large celebration after he breaks the record.

While we have had a host of people in NBA circles wanting to be present for when LeBron accomplishes that historic feat, Robert Horry doesn’t think Kareem would want to be in attendance. Whether he wants to or not, you would think Abdul-Jabbar would be at the game, and the NBA would certainly hope that’s the case as well.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
