The Dallas Mavericks have been a good team this year, and they are currently the 4th seed in the Western Conference. However, that doesn’t mean that they can’t improve. One of their biggest issues has been the lack of a consistent No. 2 scoring option behind Luka Doncic.

A recent trade proposal from Mo Dakhil of Bleacher Report would rectify that issue for the Dallas Mavericks. This is a 3-team trade that would send the Mavericks Pascal Siakam while they would have to move a number of first-round picks and players.

Dallas Mavericks Receive: Pascal Siakam, Robin Lopez, Dalano Banton

Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: Tim Hardaway Jr., Juancho Hernangómez

Toronto Raptors Receive: Kevin Love, Christian Wood, Josh Green, 2023 Second-Round pick (CLE), 2025 First-Round Pick (DAL), 2027 First-Round Pick (DAL)

This trade could definitely have benefits for the Dallas Mavericks. Pascal Siakam has proven that he can be the No. 2 option on a championship-level team and is a two-way forward that is having an All-NBA level season with the Toronto Raptors. He is definitely a good co-star for Luka Doncic, and the Mavericks would immediately become a threat to win the title with him on the roster.

The Dallas Mavericks Are Also In The Running For Bojan Bogdanovic

There are other trades that the Dallas Mavericks could explore ahead of the trade deadline. A recent report revealed that they are among the teams in the running for Detroit Pistons veteran Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks are among the teams registering interest in Detroit’s Bojan Bogdanović, league sources say. The Pistons have maintained that they prefer to keep Bogdanović moving forward, but as The Athletic’s James Edwards III reported, the franchise is open to conversations, and it’s believed an unprotected first-round pick can pry Bogdanović out of Detroit.

It will be interesting to see where Bojan Bogdanovic ends up. The Detroit Pistons have already discussed a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers that features Bogdanovic and Nerlens Noel, so the Dallas Mavericks

Hopefully, we see the Mavericks figure out a way to upgrade the roster around Luka Doncic. They are only one difference-making move away from being contenders, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
