“Ben Simmons Has Dated More Women Than Made 3-Pointers Since 2016” The Nets Star Is Better Off The Court Than On It

The guard has only drained five shots from beyond the arc from 2017 to 2021. His relationships though, have surpassed that number.

Over the years, Ben Simmons’ dating history has seen him linked to quite some interesting names, and what’s more intriguing is the fact that he’s dated more women than the number of three-pointers he’s made in his career.

Simmons was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers when the franchise selected him as the No. 1 overall pick. But an unfortunate ankle injury sidelined him for the entire season.

That said, there were hopes that he would still be the one to lead the Sixers to an NBA title, but he didn’t quite live up to the expectations. Simmons had all the qualities of a bonafide star — solid defense, acute playmaking skills, and, more importantly, a perfect sense of game awareness. However, his biggest problem lay in developing the one shot that mattered most.

His lack of shots from downtown saw him being subject to ample jokes, and the latest one about his number of relationships had to do with his three-pointers as well. As much of a shocker be it may be, Simmons has dated more women since 2016 than nailing the 3s.

It was a good start to the 2018 season when he shot 11 of them but ended up missing all of them. The pattern continued in 2019 when he attempted six of them only to miss completely. Three years in the NBA, and he finally nailed two of them from seven and broke his own record a year later when he drained three of them from ten attempts.

This season saw him try one from beyond the arc, and he missed, tallying a grand total of five shots from 35 attempts. And per our stats, the Aussie has dated seven gorgeous women in the last seven years, starting in 2016, resulting in a crazy fact of dating more than hitting those three’s, which, unfortunately for him, is true.

He has endured some tough days over the last couple of seasons, and the alarming stat just happens to be in conversation with his relationships which are more than the 3s he’s made.

As far as his relationships were concerned, he and TV host Maya Jama called it quits this year. Prior to that, the Brooklyn Nets star had an impressive list of girlfriends, starting off with Instagram model Brittany Renner in 2016.

In 2017, he was confirmed to be dating Dylan Gonzalez. While there wasn’t much to detail out in the open about their relationship, The U.S. Sun reported that their shared love for basketball was one of the things they had in common. He was also linked to model Talia Richman briefly.

The following year, Simmons and singer Tinashe were rumored to be dating before they made it official with a string of Instagram posts. The relationship was short-lived after their February start fizzled out in May 2018 amid rumors of him cheating her with Kendall Jenner.

Jenner has been a known name in NBA circles, with some prominent names who dated her. Devin Booker, Blake Griffin, and Jordan Clarkson were some of the players linked to the star, as was Kyle Kuzma, only for  Entertainment Tonight to quash the rumor that they were not a couple.

To add more drama, a TMZ report said Tinashe was present wherever Simmons and Jenner were spotted.

Tinashe’s tendency to be up at the same Los Angeles-area events — at least three times in the past month — has become problematic enough that the Philadelphia 76er has hired extra security, TMZ and other outlets have reported. Simmons believes the “All Hands on Deck” singer has become “obsessed” with him after he dumped her for Jenner.

Simmons’ relationship with Jenner began in 2018, and the two were public about their chemistry which was a headliner till May 2019. They were reportedly not pictured together until January 2020.

2019 also saw him linked to Jama, and it was confirmed that they were dating in 2021. They were spotted kissing each other during Wimbledon. Things ended in 2022, and per The Times, Maya said he was single, implying that she and Simmons had parted ways.

It may not be an exhausting list, but the names are as glam as they can be, and Simmons’ dating history is certainly one that makes for an interesting read.

It Has Not Been A Great Season For Ben Simmons So Far

The Brooklyn Nets may have been on a roll, but Simmons sadly isn’t. At the time of writing, he averages 7.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists. It also marks his lowest numbers since the 2017-18 season.

The 2022-23 season also has him scoreless twice, with the second time coming against the Boston Celtics earlier this week. He did acknowledge his mistake:

Being assertive and being aggressive. I think my team needs it, I give the ball away too many times when I know I can get buckets. That’s all going to help my teammates and get them going.”

While the lack of three-point shots and his poor run this season have seen an outpouring of rage and trolling, there’s no doubt that Simmons has what it takes to survive the tough curveballs the NBA tosses. Only time will tell if he can rekindle the magic on the floor.
