Zach LaVine led the Chicago Bulls to a big win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night. The talented shooting guard went off on the Sixers, dropping 41 points, which included a 19-point 3rd quarter and going 11-for-13 from three-point range.
LaVine keeps showing why he’s a sought-after player around the league, as the Bulls have beaten the 2nd and 5th seed in the Eastern Conference in back-to-back games. This team has been very inconsistent this season, but fans hope these two wins turn things around for them.
Meanwhile, LaVine’s name is still being thrown in trade rumors, and recently, four teams were linked with a move for him. The Los Angeles Lakers appear to have the biggest interest in the shooting guard, but the Dallas Mavericks could also use his services.
Zach LaVine Isn’t Giving Up On The Chicago Bulls Yet
Following his 41-point outburst, Zach opened up on the Chicago Bulls’ current roster and what they’re capable of doing. The former slam dunk champion said that they can do good things on the court when they’re really focused and they should try to keep things that way if they aspire to win more games.
Via Joe Cowley of Chicago Sun-Times:
“At our best, we showed what we can be last year [at this time],’’ LaVine said. “We were the No. 1 team in the East. At our best, we’re one of the best teams in the league.
“That’s for them to decide. . . . I’m not worried about our roster.’’
The Chicago Bulls can be one of the most entertaining teams in the Eastern Conference or one of the biggest disappointments this season. Last year, they showed something different and were actually able to make it to the playoffs. This season, they aren’t that good, but they’re still alive in the playoff hunt. Perhaps the last couple of wins inspires them to face the rest of the season.
If that happens, it’d be hard to see LaVine leaving United Center, but if they keep losing, we might talk about Zach joining a different team soon.
