The Minnesota Timberwolves are mightily struggling right now. They haven’t been able to match the expectations they put on themselves before the start of the 2022-23 NBA season.
When some thought the Rudy Gobert trade was a good move for them, the rest considered that the T-Wolves gave up too much to acquire the French center from the Utah Jazz. Karl-Anthony Towns shamelessly placed huge expectations on the team after they landed Gobert, and now things are simply terrible for them.
Recent reports suggest that Anthony Edwards is not happy with the team right now, and that could be a huge problem for them, too. It seems like Edwards isn’t the only one unhappy with their current situation in a season that goes from bad to worse for the T-Wolves.
D’Angelo Russell Might Be Done With Minnesota Timberwolves
The original member of this team’s Big 3, D’Angelo Russell, appears to be done with the franchise he has played for since 2019. The former Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets player was ready to take over when he landed from the Golden State Warriors, but he never found himself or his old version in Minny.
Now, with the recent developments for the team, the point guard might be sending messages to the team, as he stopped following them on Instagram. One Twitter page dedicated to the T-Wolves found out that the player stopped following the team on Instagram.

Something must change in the organization if they want to turn things around. Chris Finch needs to find the solution to this, although many think the issue is Rudy Gobert. Naz Reid recently stated that the team is well aware of what’s failing this season, but anybody won’t address that publicly.
This situation could get worse if something doesn’t change quickly, but as things stand right now, that’s highly unlikely to happen. Minnesota currently ranks 11th in the Western Conference standings with a 17-21 record, looking nothing like the championship contender they thought they were.
