LeBron James is a Miami Heat legend, notably winning two championships during his time with the franchise. There is no doubt that he had a lot of success with the team, and many fans remember that era of LeBron James’ career fondly.

Recently, NBA insider Sam Quinn has stated that the Miami Heat could potentially trade for LeBron James by sending out Kyle Lowry and three first-round picks. He noted that the Lakers would likely ask for Tyler Herro, though, and it’ll be interesting to see how the final deal would look.

Miami could offer three first-round picks along with Lowry as the primary matching salary. The Lakers would probably ask for Tyler Herro. That would be the sticking point in negotiations. The last time the Lakers and Heat made a trade of this magnitude, the Lakers tried a similar staredown involving Dwyane Wade and blinked. They ultimately sent Shaquille O’Neal to the Heat for Lamar Odom, Caron Butler and Brian Grant. It’s hard not to draw parallels to that trade when speculating about this one. Both deals began with an aging legend growing frustrated as the Lakers prioritized the future over the present.

There is no doubt that adding LeBron James would definitely make sense for the Miami Heat. They need a player that can be a difference-maker in the Eastern Conference, and LeBron James certainly fits the bill. Pat Riley stated that he was previously open to LeBron James returning to the Miami Heat, and perhaps they can make something happen in the future.

LeBron James Is A Fan Of Jimmy Butler And Bam Adebayo

It was recently reported that LeBron James has “tremendous regard” for stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, so perhaps teaming up with them could be an appealing prospect for him.

LeBron has tremendous regard for Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo as competitors.

That I know.

Obviously, LeBron James, Jimmy Butler, and Bam Adebayo would become one of the best trios in the league if LeBron James ever did return to the Miami Heat. They would be elite on both ends of the floor, and they would easily make the Miami Heat a championship-caliber team.

It is unclear as of right now whether the Miami Heat would be willing to make a formal offer to the Los Angeles Lakers this summer about LeBron James’ services. But they are clearly one of the best destinations for him, and perhaps we could see LeBron James in a Heat jersey once again.
