Los Angeles Clippers haven’t had the best 2022-23 NBA season, as they’ve struggled without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Sure, they have managed to get some wins and compete against some teams in the West, but their current record isn’t that promising.

Meanwhile, their fans are trying to get used to missing their important players, as Leonard and George every now and then deal with injuries. One of their biggest fans also suffered a huge blow recently, when he was hit by a security guard.

Clipper Darrell has been one of the most famous fans of the Los Angeles Clippers for a while now. Even though he was trolled for using Lakers gear a couple of years ago, his loyalty remains with Tyronn Lue’s team.

Darrell recently starred in a controversial moment when a security guard hit him right in the face and sent him to the floor. A video obtained by TMZ Sports shows Darrell getting in the security guard’s face after the former didn’t let him advance to a certain zone of the building. That’s when things got heated, and the security guard responded with a big hit.

Crypto.com Arena President Lee Zeidman tells us … the altercation all started after the security officer tried to direct Darrell and other departing fans to nearby exits.

“Clipper Darrell became involved in a verbal and then physical altercation,” Zeidman said. “After receiving immediate medical attention, Darryl was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment.”

“An investigation of the incident was launched which determined the employee’s behavior to be a direct violation of our training and approved responses resulting in the immediate termination and arrest of the employee by the LAPD.”

This could have been avoided if better decisions had been made. Now Darrell is taking meds to reduce the pain he’s in after such a big blow. The fan said that he’s suffering headaches after that incident and hopes to feel better soon. TMZ indicates that the Clippers are aware of this situation.
