The Los Angeles Clippers are one of the favorite teams to win it all this upcoming season following three years of falling short to win the championship. Last season, they missed Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George was also absent for a big chunk of the campaign. Well, now they are healthy and ready to go in a stacked Western Conference.

They have a lot to prove after all the good moves they’ve been making in recent years, and George is well aware of that. Recently, PG13 said that he’s locked in to win a championship, explaining that he understands the assignment and won’t rest until the job is done.

“Winning it all. Being the last team standing and becoming a champion. That window is shrinking and not a lot of teams can say before a season starts that they have a chance to win it. And I don’t want to miss out on that chance.”

He’s ready to win it all, but the journey won’t be easy for the Clippers. They’ll have to go through a very difficult conference to make it to the Finals.

Paul George Says Which Teams Will Be Difficult To Face This Season

George and co. are well aware of how teams like the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, Memphis Grizzlies, and Dallas Mavericks are expected to compete for the top spot in the West, but he also mentioned other teams that will be a tough challenge for the Clips.

Starting with the defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors, George made his statement about the challenges his team will face. However, he also mentioned two teams that aren’t considered contenders by anybody, but PG13 is keeping an eye on them just in case.

“Obviously, the Warriors, No. 1. The best in the league, rightfully so, defending champions,” George said during the Clippers media day, via NBC Sports. “The Lakers are the Lakers, they’re going to be a challenge.

“[Sacramento] is a young up-and-coming team that can give you a rough night.”

After two seasons very different from each other, the Clippers are now keen to return to the top of the West and improve what they did in 2021, where they played in the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history. There are at least 5 teams that can give the Clippers a run for their money, but none of them are the Lakers or Kings.

It’s good to see that he’s paying attention to everybody and isn’t underestimating any team, but nobody is losing sleep over the Lakers or Kings at this very moment.
