LeBron James has reached a level in his career that shows he is more than just a basketball player. Not only did he become a billionaire while still being an active NBA player through his smart business deals, but he also managed to be one of the greatest players in his sport for 20 seasons.
The value of his name extends beyond what he has achieved on the basketball court. Everybody recognizes it, but Nike manages to do something about it. LeBron signed a lifetime contract with Nike in 2015, which means investing in LeBron is mutually beneficial for the brand.
Nike unveiled the LeBron James Innovation Center at their headquarters in Oregon, where LeBron James was seen alongside Nike CEO John Donahoe in a video posted by Instagram user @3rwp.

What Do You Get Inside The LeBron James Innovation Center?
The Nike Sport Research Lab rests inside the new LeBron James Innovation Center. The Sport Research Lab is made up of the most innovative researchers and sports scientists in the world. 75 people are a part of this team and are the ones that have helped Nike stay on top of the latest technology in footwear.
In terms of basketball, there is a lot to look forward to. The Innovation Center will be home to a full NBA regulation-sized court for young players to play in. The court has been dressed up to honor LeBron James. There is a lot of LeBron imagery on the court, primarily images of him on the Lakers with his No. 23 jersey. It also features LeBron’s crown logo.
In addition, they also have a full-sized turf soccer field inserted into the complex. This will be open to American football players as well and not just soccer players. The court has been fitted with 97 floor force plates and 400 motion capture cameras to track joint movement and provide comprehensive feedback on the force, speed, and acceleration that were being exerted by the players for an even more exhaustive approach to improvement.
