Ja Morant and Jayson Tatum are two of those players expected to take over the NBA in the future and fight to be called the face of the league. These two players led their respective teams to compete last season, with Morant’s Grizzlies securing the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, losing in the second round to the Golden State Warriors.

Tatum’s Celtics were also a top team in the East, but they lost against the same Golden State Warriors in the 2022 Finals. They are expected to continue this good moment for many years, and recent reports suggest they will add another accolade to their young and entertaining careers.

Finishing off a season where they show they can be good for their teams, now they’re set to receive more news. Morant and Tatum signed big deals with two of the biggest shoe companies in the world, and now it’s time for them to create their own signature shoe.

Ja Morant And Jayson Tatum Next In Line To Get Signature Shoes

The two young stars have been two of the most electrifying players in the league in recent times, earning a lot of praise for their quality and the potential they have for the future. Pat Benson of Sports Illustrated reports that these two are set to release a signature sneaker soon, joining the likes of young players like Giannis Antetokounmpo or Zion Williamson.

According to Sole Retriever, the Jordan Tatum 1 (name subject to change) will release in three colorways during Summer 2023. Fans will reportedly get “Zoo,” “St. Louis,” and “Pink Lemonade” colorways. The price point is expected to be $120.

At this time, there are no official images or tech specs. Nevertheless, this is exciting news for Jordan Brand and Tatum. After starting his career with Nike, Tatum signed a multi-year deal with Jordan Brand in July 2019.

On the other hand, Ja will also bring three colorways to the table in the summer of 2023.

In July, we ranked Morant as one of five NBA players deserving of a signature line. According to Sole Retriever, the Nike Ja 1 will release in Summer 2023. The reporting indicates there are three launch colorways – “Phantom,” “Cobalt Bliss,” and “Game Royal”.

Morant’s first signature shoe is expected to cost $110. However, there are no official images or tech specs at this time.

This is great news for these players, who are expected to compete for championships in the future. Having a signature shoe should be a must, and their respective brands know that. Ja will try to take his Grizzlies to the promised land next season, trying to get revenge on the Warriors. Tatum was just two games away from reaching glory, and now that the Celtics look stronger, he’s ready to finally lift the Larry O’Brien trophy.
