Seth Curry Opens Up On Potentially Playing With Brother Stephen: “Personally, I Kind Of Enjoy Being Away From Him.”

The Golden State Warriors have some interesting options in front of them when it comes to replenishing their roster after losing some key role players. One of the most intriguing questions regarding offseason acquisitions for the Dubs has been the possibility of getting Kevin Durant back. While the noises from the franchise suggest that they wouldn’t want to give up their entire young core for him, it certainly remains an option.

And if they want more players in a potential deal, Seth Curry could be an option, something that would see him team up with his older brother, Stephen. The younger Curry is also an excellent marksman from three-point range and would fit the Warriors’ scheme like a glove. However, he addressed the possibility of playing with Stephen in an interview with NBC Sports, not seeming too keen on it.

“I’ve thought about it as people bring it up, but to me personally, I kind of enjoy being away from him, trying to create my own path and do my own thing.

“You never know what the future holds. I wouldn’t be against it, but it’s definitely not my preferred choice to be on the same team as him definitely right now. I also like competing against him and trying to beat the best.

“Being a younger brother gave me another leg up and an edge to get to where I am today. I always had somebody that I was chasing to be as good as or better than in literally everything, not only just basketball.”

Having Seth and Stephen on the same team would be amazing to see at the NBA level, but the younger Curry’s desire to carve his path is also admirable. Seth will never be able to live up to the legacy Steph has built, but he has found a way to become an excellent NBA player in his own right, anyway.
