Chaos Breaks Out At The Drew League As LeBron James Makes His Grand Entrance

It has been 11 years since LeBron James last suited up for the Drew League, a Pro-Am league based in Los Angeles that has been joined by countless superstars over the years.

This year, for whatever reason, LeBron has decided to play, and his participation has made the event extra special.

Before playing a single minute on the court, James was greeted by a swarm of fans in the building as he walked towards the floor to warm up. It was a truly chaotic scene as the people gathered en masse to witness history.

The world didn’t even know James would be playing until yesterday when Chris Haynes first dropped the news on Twitter.

While he ended up missing 26 games in the regular season, James averaged 30 points per game for the second time in his career. Given the performances the 4-time NBA champion put up, it was a shame that we couldn’t see ‘King James’ in the playoffs.

But Lakers fans won’t have to wait too long to see their talisman in action. According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, LBJ will appear in the well-known Drew League after 11 years.

“LeBron James is expected to play in the @DrewLeague on Saturday for the first time since 2011, a source tells @YahooSports,” wrote Haynes.

Given how electric the crowd was during the last appearance LBJ made in the Drew League, it will be a sight to behold once the 37-year-old enters the court 11 years later.

If you had any doubts about the fame and popularity of LeBron James, they should be put to bed by now. Only he can draw such an intense reaction for a meaningless offseason Pro-Am game.

The craziest thing of all is that he’s still the best player on the court, even over a decade after making his last appearance.
