Klay Thompson Goes Live On Instagram And Sends A Message To Sports Media Members That Never Played Sports: “Can’t Trust ‘Em”

Klay Thompson and the rest of the Golden State Warriors have been lapping all the people that doubted them ever since they won the 2022 NBA Championship. After hearing for two years that their championship window had come and gone, the Warriors stormed the NBA this year and made sure they won the title with a healthy team once again.

NBA media was full of people that thought that the best of the Warriors was behind them and that the new group won’t be able to find the success they did with Kevin Durant. Now that the Warriors have done exactly that, Thompson had a message for the media members that have never played basketball that doubted them.

Thompson went live on Instagram for less than a minute just to air his mind out and attack the non-basketball-playing analysts that doubted the Warriors.

“Anyone who is an expert on TV on a sport but never played the damn thing, you can’t trust them. You can’t trust their opinion, you can’t trust their opinion. They said we were dead in the water and what did we do? Win a championship. So how does it feel? I know it hurt them, I know it hurt them bad.”

Aiming the dig at people that haven’t played basketball is a little odd as there were former players also expressing doubts about the Warriors’ ability to reclaim the form that saw them win multiple champ[ionships. There were many non-basketball-playing analytics folks that did have the Warriors winning the title, so this quote can’t exactly be applied to the non-playing reporters in general.

The Warriors are having their time in the sun, and they deserve it. It was a hard-fought championship and now they just have to do it all over again next season, something these 4-time champions know how to do.
