Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are sitting on the trade market but are unable to see themselves get moved to situations they’d rather be in. Everyone knows that Kyrie Irving is looking to be in Los Angeles and join the Lakers, with the Lakers also being the only team that is willing to trade for him

Durant has a big market of teams looking to acquire him, but none of those teams are willing to give up the haul Brooklyn wants for KD. This has made the situation in Brooklyn tense as many people have started suggesting that we don’t see a trade anytime soon and the pair may start the season in Nets uniforms.

Due to the media snowballing, Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson has claimed that there may be a Press pause in the conversations right now and information may not come out to the media as easily as it has been so far. He also claims Brooklyn has internal affairs to sort out before they can move either player.

“I think there is going to be a press pause in this conversation and I think there is a situation where there is a resolution. I am of the belief that that will be the case and cooler heads have to prevail in this situation. It is not just on Kai and KD, there are some internal things they [Brooklyn] need to figure out also.”

The situation seems pretty clear for Kyrie but the Nets are unwilling to move him until they know what they are getting in return for KD, as Irving won’t be the player that gets them bucket loads of future draft capital.

The trade for KD is going to continue dominating headlines up until it does happen or the team or player comes out and says that there is no trade in the works and these players will see the season out to explore trades in the 2023 offseason.
