NBA media is currently filled with news surrounding Kevin Durant and his trade request to the Brooklyn Nets. What was supposed to be a championship-winning team turned out to be a disappointment for all parties involved. With injuries, off-court issues, and players underperforming, the Nets, despite being the odds-on favorite, never performed as one.
While it is understandable that the 2014 MVP demanded a trade from his current team, pundits have been rampant to determine who the potential suitors for a superstar like Durant are. One of the biggest teams who have popped up on the list is the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns, who were in the NBA Finals in 2021, could not replicate a similar feat in the 2021-22 season as they were dismantled by the Dallas Mavericks. Given that KD reportedly wants to join them, many pundits have speculated potential trade packages the Suns could put up for Durant.
Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless are no different. In a recent episode of ‘Undisputed’, Sharpe and Bayless looked at potential trade packages the Suns can put through. While discussing the same, the duo had a goof-up between Mikal Bridges and Miles Bridges and claimed that Mikal plays for the Charlotte Hornets.

Mikal Bridges certainly didn’t miss the hilarious moment between Sharpe and Bayless and reacted to the same.

“I play for Phoenix fellas”
While this moment on ‘Undisputed’ is hilarious, to say the least, the Suns do have a real chance to trade for a superstar like Kevin Durant. But the biggest problem for them will be the inflated price in the trade market right now.
Ever since the Minnesota Timberwolves gave up a bunch of role players and four 1st round picks to bring in 3-time DPOY Rudy Gobert, the potential trade packages are now skewed. Given the value Utah Jazz got for Gobert, it is understandable to see the Nets’ lofty demands for KD. Can the Suns really make a trade for Kevin Durant?
