As the greatest shooter ever, Steph Curry has already secured his place in the NBA history books. As an 8x All-Star, 2x MVP, and 3x champion, nobody can deny what he has accomplished in the league.

In fact, according to Shaquille O’Neal, the Warriors point guard is already one of the top 10 greatest players ever. Here’s what he said in a recent appearance on First Take:

“He’s already in my company. Me and Stephen had this conversation before. There were so many great guys before, and even coming after us. Some guys have their own special category that you can’t mess with. For example, when it comes to the most dominant: Wilt, myself, Kobe, LeBron, and Mike. When it comes to the greatest shooter of all-time stuff, Curry is in there by himself. So does that make him top 10? In my opinion, it does. I love the way he plays the game, he plays it with great energy and great passion. And you knew that as great as a player he is that he was gonna have a game like that. That’s what great players do.”

It is well known that Steph is Shaq’s favorite player. He’s explosive, dominant, and unlike any player that came before him.

“I like him because it’s something that I haven’t seen before. A lot of times, when I try to compare the new era and the old era, people say I’m hating. I’ve never seen anything like Steph, and that’s why he’s my favorite player,” Shaq said on TNT.

What will really help Steph’s legacy is winning these Finals. If he’s able to come out with a win over Boston, it would add another title to his resume.

But regardless of what happens, Curry is already one of the best we have ever seen and we shouldn’t take him for granted while he’s doing his thing.
