Colin Cowherd Claims LeBron James Is Plotting A Move To Golden State: “He Bailed On His Hometown Twice, He Bailed On Pat Riley And His Best Friend Dwyane Wade, You Don’t Think He’ll Bail On The Lakers?”

Even when he’s not playing, LeBron James is often part of the news. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar missed the 2022 NBA playoffs after his team played terribly all season long, even missing the play-in tournament. After such a horrendous campaign, the Lakers decided to part ways with Frank Vogel and bring in Darvin Ham as their new head coach.

They’re now ready to make some roster changes and see what they can do to improve their level ahead of next season. Every member of their Big 3 has been linked with a move away from Los Angeles since the season ended, but right now, nothing points out that one of them will leave the franchise.

Still, that hasn’t stopped rumors, and LeBron James leaving Los Angeles doesn’t look like a crazy possibility for many people. After he recently claimed he would like to play with the Golden State Warriors, the NBA world started speculating about his words, saying that LeBron might be planning to team up with Stephen Curry soon.

Fox Sports’ analyst Colin Cowherd was one of those people, saying that perhaps LeBron is manifesting a move to the Warriors to have the chance to compete alongside one of his biggest rivals, Stephen Curry. He mentioned that LeBron didn’t hesitate to move on from his old franchises, and that could happen to the Lakers, too (6:55).

Via Sportskeeda:

“They call it speaking something into existence. LeBron James, I believe, has been doing that, twice talking about playing with the Warriors and Steph Curry. I think he’s speaking it into existence.

“LeBron’s a smart guy. He’s a billion-dollar net worth as a current active NBA player. He’s good with business. He bailed on his hometown twice, he bailed on Pat Riley and his best friend Dwyane Wade, you don’t think he’ll bail on the Lakers?”

“His contract’s up in a year. You really don’t think he’ll bail? Golden State, look like they could use a little rest for Steph Curry, Klay Thompson. They could use a dynamic athlete. LeBron did lead the NBA in field goal percentage on two’s taken this year.”

We have seen LeBron and Curry play together in the All-Star Game, and their chemistry was incredible. Not many people dared to say that they could actually team up on one team, but the rumors about James and Curry creating a tandem haven’t completely faded. This is a long shot anyway, but perhaps we could see these two going at it together at least once. That would be incredible to watch.
