Damian Lillard Names Giannis Antetokounmpo As The Player That Can Take Him To The NBA Finals

Damian Lillard is one of the biggest absences of the 2022 NBA playoffs after the Portland Trail Blazers failed to make it to the big party. The team decided to blow things up and focused on building a good team this offseason to try and see if Damian Lillard can take them past the Western Conference finals.

Meanwhile, the player is watching the postseason and talking with fans on social media, discussing many topics. In recent hours, Dame replied to a fan trashing him, agreeing with him and saying that he hasn’t done anything in the league.

Obviously, he was trolling the fan, but Dame also replied to more serious questions regarding his future and what could happen to him. Somebody wanted to know the player he thinks can give him that push to make it to the NBA Finals.

Well, the former Rookie of the Year went with one of the most dominant players of this generation and somebody who was in the same position as Dame and won the title last year. Lillard selected Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo.

There’s no doubt that these two playing together would be incredibly fun to watch. Still, it doesn’t sound like they are linking up soon, as Giannis is in a great situation in Milwaukee, making his team a contender every season. It’s not like he’s actively trying to leave the Bucks.

Lillard, on the other hand, is waiting to see if the Blazers’ front office can assemble a competitive team like the Bucks. He wants to win at Moda Center, but he also knows that his window reduces every season.

After a tumultuous season, Dame is ready to light the West up, but we still have to wait and see what type of team he’ll have next season. Having Giannis by his side would be a dream, but that’s highly unlikely to happen.
