As an 8x All-Star, 2x MVP, and 4x Champion, Stephen Curry has already written his name in the history books. If he retired today, he’d be one of the top five best point guards to ever play the game.
But Steph isn’t done quite yet and, in fact, he has a chance to add to his resume this postseason.
With another Championship, could he finally surpass Magic and take the mantle as the greatest point guard ever?
According to Shannon Sharpe, the answer is no. After one fan made the claim, Sharpe made his stance very clear that such a scenario is never going to happen.

As the 2nd seeded team in the West, the Warriors have a real chance to win this year, and it would only add to Steph’s amazing resume.
But putting him above Magic would be quite a leap. Not only did his play help save a dying NBA, but he’s also a better defender and playmaker. He shined in an era w=that was defined by toughness, loyalty, and tradition. He’s also more accomplished than Curry. At 34-years-old, he probably doesn’t have too much time left. But it will be amazing to see what more he can do before his career finally draws to a close.
