LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers are not in the 2022 NBA Playoffs after a horrendous season saw the Lakers finish 11th in the Western Conference and miss the play-in tournament. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that LeBron James is one of the most accomplished playoff participants of all time.

LeBron is the all-time leader in a lot of statistics for the post-season, mainly minutes and points. He has a lot of wisdom to share about how to keep yourself composed in the playoffs, considering he went to 10 NBA Finals in his career, with 8 appearances coming in consecutive seasons.

After getting to watch all the games for the first time since 2018, LeBron is sharing his observations on the game as they are taking place. After watching the Minnesota Timberwolves blow a lead to the Memphis Grizzlies, James decided to share some sage advice with his fans and any players who may see his tweet and take guidance from it.

The majority of Playoff games are won on how you close each quarter

— LeBron James (@KingJames) April 22, 2022

If I trust anyone’s opinion on what needs to be done in the playoffs, I’d trust LeBron James. But an opinion on closing out each quarter strong doesn’t really help the teams in trying to execute the same. Every coach tries to maximize the performance the team is giving each quarter, so this was quite a given.

However, the personnel on the court need to realize how valuable a momentum swing can be towards the end of the quarter. Teams who are leading need to do everything to make sure they don’t give up points, and losing teams will make sure they push the pace and get some buckets.

It would have been fun to see LeBron and the Lakers practice what they preach in the playoffs, but getting there is a challenge they overlooked and are now giving advice from the sidelines.
