LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers couldn’t get the job done against the New Orleans Pelicans. Playin against the Pelicans in what was a must-win game for the Lakers, the Lakers blew a 23-point lead in New Orleans. LeBron James spoke after the game and gave a scathing verdict on his team’s performance on the night, and throughout the course of the NBA season.

LeBron James was asked about the Los Angeles Lakers losing to the New Orleans Pelicans after the game. James noted that it was an example of the Lakers’ season so far, as they weren’t able to sustain their good performance from the first half and let the win slip out of their hands in a must-win situation (0:58 onwards).

“It’s just a microcosm of our season. We haven’t been able to sustain all year, and tonight was one of those instances.”

LeBron addressed his ankle injury, noting that his ankle feels ‘horrible’ right now. LeBron James also spoke about Malik Monk saying that he is confident about the Los Angeles Lakers making the playoffs because they have LeBron James, noting that right now, his ankle injury is going to hold him back, but when he is healthy and on the court, he does everything in his power to get his team the win.

The Lakers will be playing against the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday, as they hope to get their season back on track. With just a few games left in the season, the Lakers will need to win all, if not most of their games, in this final stretch of the season if they want to have a good chance to reach the NBA playoffs. The Lakers will have to work incredibly hard to try and get something out of this season during this final stretch.
