The Minnesota Timberwolves have definitely found a bright star in their talented young player Anthony Edwards. This is just his second season in the league and he is already taking a leap.

The 20-year-old is currently averaging 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. While these numbers are not enough for him to get selected in the NBA All-Star game, they are still enough to win crucial games for the Timberwolves.

He helped the organization in winning their most recent fixture against the Detroit Pistons. In a 128-117 victory, Edwards contributed 25 points in 34 minutes. Although Edwards’ in-game performance was amazing, what he did off during the postgame press conference caught the eyes of fans.

When arriving at the conference, Edwards was seen using his mobile phone. Of course, reporters were curious about what the Timberwolves star was doing on his phone. Well, Edwards revealed that he was just ordering food from the popular fast-food chain McDonald’s.

“What’s up? Hold on, don’t ask no questions. I’m trying to put an order in. McDonalds. eah, yeah right. Tell them to lock it in. Hold on, hold on, I got one more thing. McChicks. Customize no ice. I like Minnesota y’all. I love Minnesota man. Hope y’all love me back. Yup I just got it. Hold on, let me pay for it. Hold on, two seconds.”

Edwards further revealed that he was ordering from McDonald’s cheap menu, “Yeah, cheap dude. I’m not even gonna say cheap dude because I like cars and jewelry. But yeah, cheap dude. I’m gonna wait til my other contract, for sure.”

The reporters certainly loved to see this side of the young Timberwolves star. It is not the first time an NBA player has been seen doing such a hilarious thing. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was recently seen eating chicken wings during a press conference.

NBA fans will certainly hope to see more of such funny incidents, be it on the court or off the court.
