Joel Embiid is one of the most dominant big men of the modern day. He is a throwback big that can destroy opponents on the interior, but he is also capable of stepping out to the perimeter and shooting jumpers. Embiid is definitely one of those “unicorn” big men that is extremely versatile.

The Philadelphia 76ers have Joel Embiid as their lone star, and he has definitely been carrying the offensive load for them. He is currently playing at a high level, averaging 28.4 PPG, 10.6 RPG, and 4.2 APG.

In the 2022 calendar year, Joel Embiid has taken it to another level. Twitter page StatMuse has recently revealed that Joel Embiid is averaging 33.4 PPG in 2022, which is more than his 31.6 MPG.

It is clear that Joel Embiid is thriving this season, and he should definitely be considered for the 2021-22 MVP award, especially if the Philadelphia 76ers climb the rankings and end up finishing in the top-3 or top-4 of the Eastern Conference.

It remains to be seen how the Philadelphia 76ers will do in the future. All-Star Ben Simmons still hasn’t been traded, and there’s no question that the Philadelphia 76ers have to make a move to avoid wasting a year of Joel Embiid’s prime. The Philadelphia 76ers have a lot of options for a Ben Simmons trade. Reportedly, The 76ers and the Kings were reportedly exploring a swap that would send De’Aaron Fox to Philadelphia and Ben Simmons to Sacramento.

Hopefully, we continue to see Joel Embiid dominate on the court. He is definitely one of the most entertaining players to watch, and his personality off the court definitely allows younger people to relate with him. He clearly has a case for being the best player in the world, and perhaps we’ll see him prove it in the playoffs this season.
