Jusuf Nurkic and Tyler Herro starred in a controversial moment on Wednesday night, with the Portland Trail Blazers’ veteran swinging at the Miami Heat young player after the latter shoved him in the back.
The Heat players have been involved in this type of altercations this season, and it seems like that will be a common thing for them. Back in November, Markieff Morris was hit by Nikola Jokic after a questionable foul on the Denver Nuggets superstar by the Heat’s big man.
After Nurkic set a screen that sent Herro to the floor, the sharpshooter lost it and shoved the Bosnian player. That didn’t make things better and the big man threw a punch at Herro. If it wasn’t for Caleb Martin, many believe Nurkic would have landed a few more shots in Tyler’s face.
Following the brawl, the referees ejected both players, but that doesn’t seem to be the end of that. Just like it happened with Jokic and Markieff Morris a couple of months ago, the shots kept coming on social media and one of Nurkic’s former teammates sent a message that resonate with the big man.
“Let a sleeping beast lie and just keep it hoop. If you not 7 ft and 300 lbs+ then make sure you sign a waiver before you roll those dice,” the former Boston Celtics assistant coach wrote.

Nurkic liked that tweet and shared it with his followers, which was taken as a shot at Herro and his attitude before and after the shoving.

Jusuf could get a $50K fine for his actions during the brawl and he could get suspended if the NBA commissioner thinks he deserves it. In the end, the Floridian won the game, 115-109 against an undermanned team at Moda Center. Herro had the last laugh after getting the W, but Nurkic demonstrated he’s not one you want to mess with.
