NBA All-Star game voting started on Christmas Day and fans can continue to pour in their votes until January 22, 2022. The voting will officially close at midnight Eastern Time on the said date.

With that being said, there are as usual many contenders, who can book their place in the NBA-All Star lineups for both conferences. As of now, it appears that the competition to become an All-Star is cutthroat in the Eastern Conference.

After all, this season it is quite evident that the East is a tad bit more difficult than the West. The likes of Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and many other big names. So it is quite a tedious task for fans to choose the All-Stars for this year. Furthermore, choosing the All-Star starters is an even more difficult task.

Well, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins decided to give it a whirl and posted his choice for the 5 starters in this year’s NBA All-Star game from the Eastern Conference. He tweeted:

“‘My’ Eastern Conference All-Star Starters!!! Carry on…”

Looking at his tweet, Perkins made sure to highlight the fact that these 5 players should be named starters in his opinion. Knowing that fans tend to roast analysts from time to time if they make even the slightest error.

Speaking of the players that he has picked, his lineup consists of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Joel Embiid, DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant, and Zach LaVine. Honestly, he has done a great job of picking these players.

Both DeRozan and LaVine have been in phenomenal form throughout this year and have helped in making the Chicago Bulls relevant in the playoffs and NBA title race after a long time.

On the other hand, Kevin Durant is having an MVP caliber year while leading the Brooklyn Nets to the top seed in the East. Similar to KD, Giannis is having yet another sensational season and his team is just behind the Nets and the Bulls.

Last but definitely not least is Embiid, who has been giving his all in the absence of Ben Simmons.

Anyway, at this point, this is all but speculation and anticipation. We will find out about the actual teams only when the voting results are out and there is quite some time in that happening.
