Kobe Bryant is remembered as being one of the greatest leaders in the history of the game. His influence on other NBA stars was massive, young players with the Lakers in Kobe’s later years all credit him with teaching them a lot about basketball and life. And after the Los Angeles Lakers became primarily his team, Kobe stepped into his leadership role smoothly and led them to two consecutive NBA championships.

Bryant was largely a leader by example, his insane work ethic spoke for itself. His role on the Redeem Team in 2008 is something fans can’t wait to watch when the documentary comes out. Kobe was instrumental in bringing together the most exciting young stars of the time, names like LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony.

However, it’s not just by example that Kobe helped his teammates out. In his endless bid to become the greatest to ever do it, Bryant was a student of the game like perhaps no other athlete has ever been. His understanding and mastery were second to none and it became apparent from time to time.
