The 2023 NBA Draft is done and dusted. It was a memorable day for Amen and Ausar Thompson. The Twins were the fourth and fifth overall picks drafted by the Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons, respectively.
They became the first brothers to ever be selected top five in the same draft. It’s great news for the Thompson family, undoubtedly, a dream come true. Speaking of which, the Twins made a dream board when they were just nine years old.
– Become The Greatest NBA Player Of All Time
– Become A Multi Billionaire
– Get A Shoe Company
– Become 6’9″

The brothers wrote down these goals when they were just nine years old. They have achieved the first part of their dream, which was to get drafted into the NBA. By the way, they became the first players to be selected in the NBA after playing in the Overtime Elite League.
The twins played for the City Reapers for the 2022-23 season. Amen averaged 16.3 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 6.2 APG, while Ausar posted 16.3 PPG, 7.1 RPG, and 6.1 APG.
Speaking of their goals, they both stand at 6’7″, but could have a final growth spurt and reach their desired height. As for the other goals, fans will have to wait for a few years to see if they can achieve them.
Ausar Thompson Trash-Talked His Brother Over A Potential Summer League Matchup
Prior to making their NBA debuts with their respective teams, the Twins may get a chance to play against each other during the Summer League.
Ausar Thompson liked the aspect of that matchup and trash-talked his brother, Amen Thompson during a recent video.
“I heard it, my first thought was, ‘We’re going to kill ’em,'” Ausar said. “He’s sat right here, so he can hear it himself. I know he probably wants to do the same thing, but it’s not going to go that way.”
It’s great to see healthy competition between the brothers. But can they take the Rockets and Pistons to new heights? Fans will find out soon.
