Andre Drummond Is The Only Current NBA Player Alongside LeBron James And Kevin Durant To Have Over 1,000 In Every Major Statistical Category

Andre Drummond is part of an exclusive club alongside LeBron James and Kevin Durant to have more than 1,000 points, rebounds, assists, and steals in his career.

  • Only three current NBA players have more than 1,000 points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks in their careers
  • LeBron James and Kevin Durant are expected to be on this list and both are as well
  • Andre Drummond is the surprise third player to make the list in this situation

Statistics can be misleading in the NBA, but pure data can only be denied in so many contexts. Players that managed to get to 1,000 in any of the five major statistical categories are valuable, but only a select few can claim to have done it in all five.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant have been in the league for 20 and 15 seasons, respectively, so it’s not surprising that they have made this list. But the third name to have reached 1,000 in career totals in the current NBA is a surprising one, it’s Andre Drummond.

Andre Drummond has been in the NBA for 11 seasons, but his prowess in defending the rim and grabbing rebounds has put him up there with these two Top 15 players of all time. During his career, Drummond has racked up 10,337 points, 9,963 rebounds, 1,036 assists, 1,021 steals, and 1,082 blocks. Even though he’s just 29, he’s on this exclusive list, and people often forget that he is a 2-time All-Star as well.

LeBron James And Kevin Durant Are Far Ahead Of Andre Drummond

Because they have both been superstars their entire careers and have been in the league longer, LeBron James and Kevin Durant are well ahead of Andre Drummond when it comes to this particular stat.

LeBron James became the all-time leading scorer last season, and as such, has 38,652 points, 10,667 rebounds, 10,420 assists, 2,186 steals, and 1,073 blocks to his name. That is simply absurd. Kevin Durant is equally impressive, racking up 26,892 points, 6,959 rebounds, 4,267 assists, 1,055 steals, and 1,105 blocks in his career.

Both LeBron James and Kevin Durant are also still superstars, meaning that they will add to their tallies at a rapid rate for at least another two seasons. Andre Drummond has declined and is unlikely to put up big numbers again. It is a huge thing for him to have made this list in the first place, though, a testament to his talent and hard work.
