The Kevin Durant sage remains a hot topic around the league. The Brooklyn Nets superstar has expressed his frustration with the direction the team is going now, giving owner Joe Tsai an ultimatum: fire the head coach and general manager or find a trade partner for KD.

This week, the Philadelphia 76ers made a surprise appearance as a solid candidate to take KD’s services, especially after Durant was spotted working out with James Harden in Barcelona. However, it’s still unclear what team will end up landing Durant this offseason.

Recent reports suggest that KD could wait a lot before getting traded, but a former Golden State Warriors player offered an interesting, yet controversial idea of how Durant can accelerate his exit from the Nets. Andrew Bogut seemingly took a shot at Joe Tsai with a tweet discussing the Durant saga.

An easy way for KD to get out of @joetsai1999’s @BrooklynNets that no NBA analyst is discussing.

A simple tweet: “Free Hong Kong, Free Taiwan”.

Gone the next day…..

Many people have criticized Tsai for his links with the Chinese government, including Enes Kanter Freedom. Bogut has joined that trend, sending a big message to the billionaire owner while suggesting an easy way for KD to force his move out of Brooklyn.

Seeing how outspoken KD is, it wouldn’t be a complete shock if he decided to tweet that, but knowing how bad things went for the NBA when Daryl Morey tweeted something similar, Durant and the league are better off without these antics.

Meanwhile, the Sixers, Boston Celtics, and a couple of more teams are still linked with a move for KD, but so far, nothing is certain for him. Time will tell if KD starts the season with the Nets or if another franchise decides to lure him away from Barclays Center soon.
