Ty Lawson’s life is getting worse by the day. The now free agent guard was banned from the Chinese Basketball Association after posting a picture of himself with a woman on social media and another with a questionable message about Chinese women.

That didn’t sit well with the authorities of the league and they decided to ban him for life from playing in the CBA.

“His inappropriate words are inconsistent with the social responsibilities and values abided by our club and have brought serious adverse social impacts to the club and the league. We will not sign him for the new season,” the Sturgeons said in a statement, according to Chinese state news agency Xinhua.

If this wasn’t enough for the player, the backlash from Chinese fans didn’t take too long and plenty of angry fans flooded Lawson’s Instagram page with racist comments towards the player.

This isn’t a very good situation for him. He could have avoided all of this but just like he did during his NBA days, Lawson first acted and then thought. Well, Chinese fans weren’t happy with him and took things to a different level. Now Lawson has to look for a different team in a different country after just one season with the Fujian Sturgeons.
