Anthony Davis On His Ankle Injury: “I Rolled It Pretty Bad, But Not Too Bad… I’ll Be Fine.”

2 Min Read

Anthony Davis is – by far- one of the best players in the league and one of the greatest talents to ever set foot on an NBA hardwood. However, he’s always been prone to getting hurt and that was the only knock on him when Lakers fans wondered about whether their team should trade for him or now.

And, while Davis has surely left his injury woes behind him – or so it seems – everybody’s hearts skip a beat when he hits the floor.

That happened midway through the fourth quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers Game 5 win over the Denver Nuggets when Davis rolled his ankle and was on the floor for a couple of seconds. Nevertheless, the All-Star forward was able to shake it off and finish the game.

Then again, knowing his story with injuries, that was something to watch. That’s why Davis was quick to kill that narrative and state that he’s going to be just fine.

“Ankle feels fine. I got tonight, tomorrow, before the (next) game to get it (better), I rolled it pretty bad, but not too bad … I’ll be fine,” Davis told Mike Trudell.

The Los Angeles Lakers will only go as far as Anthony Davis can take them. Yes, they still have an All-Time great like LeBron James by his side, but this is AD’s team, and we’ve already seen how resilient the Nuggets are, especially with their backs against the wall.

Hopefully, Davis will be just fine. We never want to see the best players in the game getting hurt, especially at this point in the season.
