The Los Angeles Lakers failed to finish off the series against the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 5 after losing and allowing the Grizz to make this a 3-2 series.

Anthony Davis had a strong performance in Game 5 but it wasn’t enough to help the Lakers win the game. Despite his strong performance, AD is more than motivated for Game 6 at home, vowing to play anywhere between 42 to 48 minutes if needed.

The Lakers will be on the back foot if they lose Game 6 and have to go back to Memphis for Game 7.  Davis recognizes that and wants to put the finishing touches back in LA. His teammate, LeBron James, was the one who struggled today but even he is confident about bouncing back in Game 6 and closing this out.

Are The Grizzlies Sending This Series To Seven?

The Grizzlies are young, hungry, and extremely capable of beating any team in the NBA on any given night. Even if they are missing elements of their frontcourt, their guard play between Ja Morant and Desmond Bane has been sensational in the last 3 games. They need to keep their offensive spark lit as they head back to LA for the most important game of the series.

Experienced teams are usually favored for Game 7, but this is not a regular series. The Lakers started the series as underdogs and are the 7th seed compared to the Grizz, who were the second-best team in the West for almost the entire season. The next game is going to be must-watch basketball without a doubt.
