LeBron James struggled for the world to see in the Lakers’ Game 5 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 15 points on poor efficiency.

It was a tough loss to swallow as the series now sits at 3-2. King James has openly taken accountability for his bad performance, calling it ‘sh*t’ and vowing to be better in Game 6.

“Tonight, I was shit. And I’ll be better in Game 6.”

LeBron James was the star behind the Lakers’ Game 4 win with his clutch buckets at the end of regulation and overtime to lead the squad to the win. But given all the issues on the Grizzlies’ roster and the injuries, fans should be worried about why it’s taking the Lakers this long to close the series out.

Are The Grizzlies Going To Make A Comeback?

It’s not going to be easy for Memphis to overturn a 3-1 deficit but they’ll surely try with everything they can. if they pull it off, it’ll be among the most famous comebacks in league history. LeBron knows what it takes to be in a 3-1 situation and will not want to be on the losing end of this matchup. Losing Game 5 wasn’t ideal, but it isn’t the end of the world.

James is averaging 22.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in 5 games in the playoffs so far, shooting below 50% from the field and a shockingly low 16.7% from three. His shot has been extremely inconsistent but his defensive hustle and aggression cannot be questioned. He needs to come out and set the tone from the start of Game 6.

We’ve seen how important playing at home is for LA after their performances in Games 3 and 4. They’ll hope that they can close this series out in Game 6, otherwise, a 7th game in Memphis may stack all the chips against them.
