The Miami Heat have already overachieved in the 2022-23 NBA season. But it seems like the Heat’s dream run will be over at the hands of Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.

Behind a 32-point triple-double from the Joker, the Nuggets won Game 3 and took a 2-1 lead in the series. The Heat fans trailed 93-72 early in the fourth quarter of the series, and it resulted in the arena getting empty. In the postgame conference, Bam Adebayo was asked about his thoughts on fans leaving the arena.

“I’m in the game, so I’m not really focused on fans leaving,” Adebayo explained. “I’m really focused on can we get a stop, can we score, and see if we can come back in this game.”

The Miami Heat managed to cut the lead to 10 points with 1:32 left to be played. However, by that time, the arena was almost half empty.

One may think that it demotivated Bam Adebayo and the Heat players, but that wasn’t the case. Either way, the game finished at 109-94 in favor of the Nuggets.

Adebayo recorded 22 points, 17 rebounds, and 3 assists on 7-21 shooting, while Jimmy Butler finished the game with 28 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists on 11-24 shooting.

Jimmy Butler Believes Bam Adebayo Will Be The Reason Why The Heat Will Win The 2023 NBA Title

Jimmy Butler is undoubtedly seen as the best player on the Miami Heat roster. He is averaging 27.3 PPG, 6.6 RPG, and 5.9 APG in the 2023 playoffs. But in the NBA Finals, Butler has so far averaged 20.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 6.7 APG over three games.

Butler has certainly taken a step back at the biggest stage in the league. On the other hand, Adebayo is currently averaging 23.0 PPG, 13.0 RPG, and 4.0 APG. It’s no surprise that Butler believes Adebayo will be the primary reason if the Heat wins the 2023 NBA title.

“He’s gonna be the reason we win the championship.”

Game 4 of the series will be played on Friday in Miami. The Heat will hope to win, otherwise, they will head to Denver with a 3-1 deficit for Game 5.
