Since joining the Brooklyn Nets, Ben Simmons‘ career has been going downward. Last season, he couldn’t play even a single game for the Nets due to recovering from his injuries. Many people claimed that Simmons faked his injuries, but he clapped back at those people recently.
Either way, Simmons didn’t have the best of the starts to the 2022-23 NBA season. He struggled a lot and failed to score even in double digits for several games. So it was only obvious when it was reported that the Nets were frustrated with Ben.
However, after watching his performance against the Portland Trail Blazers, the Nets’ fanbase will certainly be happy.
Ben Simmons Is Joyous After Winning Against The Portland Trail Blazers
In the massive defeat against the Sacramento Kings, Simmons reached double digits in scoring for the first time this season. Following that, the 26-year-old must have gained some confidence as he had a good game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Although he came off the bench, he played 32 minutes against the Trail Blazers. In those minutes, Simmons recorded 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists. More importantly, the Nets guard had a perfect shooting night as he went 6/6 from the field.
Following the victory, Simmons posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a caption that had a motivating message for the entire team.
It’s great to see that Simmons enjoyed the win, but there are still a lot of games left in the regular season. Even after the win, the team’s record has improved to 7-9. They are still two wins away from having a .500 record. But if Simmons can continue to play at this level alongside Kevin Durant, things could get better for the Nets.
On top of that, Kyrie Irving is expected to return soon from his suspension. His addition to the team will surely improve the Nets’ chances of going on a winning streak over the next few weeks.
