Boban Marjanovic Explains How The Legendary Friendship With Tobias Harris Started: "He Never Passed The Ball. ...We Were In The Locker Room And I Was Like, 'Tobias, I Don't Like You.'"
Boban Marjanovic and Tobias Harris are probably the two best friends that you can find in the NBA. Their relationship has come a long way, they have shared the court with the same team and faced each other as rivals, but the love is always there.
This bromance is one of the best we've seen in the league. Recently, the big man revealed how it all started. In the beginning, Boban wasn't on the best terms with Harris, but they worked things out and became what we now know.
Talking on JJ Reddick's "The Old Man and the Three" podcast, Boban discussed the beginning of his friendship with Harris, a player who didn't want to give him the ball (18:10).
"I had just arrived in Detroit and I think we played pick-up and Tobias never passed the ball. And we was in the locker and I was like, 'Tobias, I don't like you.'"
Who would have imagined that those words would spark what we know as one of the best friendships in American sports? Even after going different ways, their bond remains unbreakable.
Harris is part of the Philadelphia 76ers, trying to help the team win a championship. At the same time, Boban and his Dallas Mavericks will play the first and only game 7 in the first round of the playoffs.
The Sixers have bigger chances to make the 2021 NBA Finals, but if Boban, Luka Doncic, and co. survive against the Clippers and make it to the big series, we will see these two best friends going at for the biggest honor in the association.
