Bobby Portis Reacts To PJ Tucker’s Promise That He Wants To Win The Game Against The Bucks More Than Any Other Game

PJ Tucker has been in the league for a long time. Evidently, the veteran forward has been part of a lot of teams as well. While he was at his best when playing for the Phoenix Suns and the Houston Rockets, he didn’t win an NBA Championship with them.

His dream to finally be able to call himself a champion was fulfilled when he was a part of the Milwaukee Bucks last season. The Bucks brought on Tucker to provide veteran leadership to the team. Additionally, Tucker is quite vocal and every team that is aspiring to win the league needs a player like that on the roster.

Tucker was originally brought on to fill that role and he did his job perfectly. But it seems not up to the mark that the organization would have preferred. The Bucks didn’t re-sign him and let him join their rivals, the Miami Heat.

Even Tucker was shocked by this decision taken by the management. As a result, he is ready to get revenge on his former team this season.

I was pretty surprised. You win a championship and you’re part of winning something special like that, you would expect that. A chance of it not happening? There’s a chance. It didn’t happen. Does it happen a lot? I don’t think so, not in that situation, not in those situations. You watch role guys in series in the past, usually those guys go back. So I’ll take my situation as just that, a particular situation. I move on from it and keep it going. To say that I’m not circling every time we play Milwaukee, I would be lying to you.”

Upon seeing the news, his former teammate Bobby Portis reacted on Twitter on a post by NBA Central.

It seems like Portis was rolling his eyes upon reading this news. He might even be in disbelief at Tucker’s reaction to not being retained by the Bucks.

Whatever be the case, the Bucks and Heat are scheduled to play against each other on October 21, 2021. So along with the battle between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jimmy Butler, we have another exciting matchup to keep an eye out for as well.
