DeMar DeRozan is once again in the Eastern Conference, but this time, with the Chicago Bulls. After 3 seasons in San Antonio, DeRozan signed with the Bulls to form one of the most exciting teams in the NBA season.

The Bulls now boast a big four of Lonzo Ball, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic. On top of that, the addition of former NBA champion and fan-favorite Alex Caruso has made the Bulls one of the teams to watch this season, as they attempt to make the playoffs for the first time in years.

DeRozan, along with the other new recruits, brings excitement back to Chicago, a historic franchise that has struggled since the retirement of Michael Jordan, who was recently named in the NBA’s top 75 greatest players’ all-time list

Not since the days of Derrick Rose, whose injuries significantly hampered his career, have the Bulls had a squad that gives them genuine cause for optimism.

But maybe DeMar DeRozan is trying to find his way to some of that Jordan magic. DeRozan recently purchased a house in River North worth $4.5 million.

What is interesting to note is that the house was previously owned by Michael Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy. Perhaps DeRozan’s odd link to MJ could help him have success in Chicago, just like Jordan had.

DeRozan is a former All-Star and has shown that he can play at a high level. On top of that, he is a veteran with playoff experience who is still in the prime of his career. Many fans would gladly take DeRozan for their team. But the fact that the Bulls get to have him as a third option behind Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic speaks to their firepower.

The Bulls need to perform well. Their franchise has been craving a solid playoff team since the 90s. While they do not have any player on the team close to the caliber of Michael Jordan, they do have a strong squad that can cause problems for the rest of the Eastern Conference.
